On September 29th, 2018 the Museums of Burlington are taking the reins of their local Doors Open for the first time, and our newly expanded Burlington office is opening it’s doors and welcoming the public into see what working in Ontario archaeology and cultural heritage is all about. Our office display includes historical maps, an artifact and skull guessing game, an active lab, microscopic seeds to match to modern fruits, indigenous ceramics and “make your own” pinch pots, field equipment and stone tools!
Many other great Burlington sites are participating, you can check out all the other sites here.
Update: Doors Open was a huge success, we were so touched by the huge interest shown by the public in our work! You can check out a gallery of images from this event on our blog.
