Understanding Toronto Through Archaeology: A Public Symposium

Heritage Toronto and the City of Toronto Historic Sites are collaborating on a Public Archaeology Symposium inspired by the exciting finds being currently uncovered at the Saint Lawrence Market. Covering many of the new advancements in Toronto archaeology, as well as delving into the nuts and bolts of archaeological assessments in the city, these panel discussions will be a great opportunity to share news and insights with our colleagues.

David Robertson, Partner and Director of our Planning Assessment Division, will be discussing the practices of Cultural Resource Management in the city. He offers a unique insight into the challenges of urban archaeology, as co-director of the Saint Lawrence Market excavation. Annie Veilleux, Manager of our Cultural Heritage Division, will be discussing the rich archaeology of the Humber River.

The Symposium will take place on February 11th from 10am-4pm, admission includes a brown bag lunch. Click here to purchase your tickets!
