Middle Archaic Lithics: Brewerton Side-, Corner- and Ear- Notched points Early Archaic Lithics: Bifurcate, Nettling and HiLo points Late Archaic points: Genesee, Lamoka, Innes and Crawford Knoll points; this era is divided between Broad, Narrow and Small points. Archaic 8000-1000 B.C.E Early Archaic: 8000-6000 B.C.E. Middle Archaic: 6000-2500 B.C.E. Late Archaic: 2500-1000 B.C.E. Climate change marked the Archaic Period; as Ontario transformed into temperate forest land, human populations grew. Small camps of hunter gatherers hunted deer and fished from lakes and rivers. Typical sites were small, compact lithic scatters; stone was the predominant material for tools and personal items. Larger sites were located at major river mouths.
