ASI was involved in the development of a management plan for Ruthven Park, the mid-nineteenth century historic estate of Colonel David Thompson, one of the chief proponents of the Grand River Navigation Company. The estate is approximately 640 hectares (1,600 acres) in extent and is situated on the east side of the Grand River north of Cayuga, Ontario. It encompasses an exquisite Greek Revival mansion within a fine example of a nineteenth century picturesque landscape. The Park is managed by the Lower Grand River Land Trust Inc. and is now a National Historic Site open to the public.
