The Toronto Public Library is hosting a panel discussion on the current state of archaeology in the city on Tuesday, May 2nd at 7pm.

With the widespread attention that the St. Lawrence Market and The Ward excavations, there is increasing public support for archaeology in our city. The topical question the panel hopes to answer is “What role does archeology, preservation and heritage interpretation play in the creation of inclusive public spaces?”

John Lorinc will be moderating the discussion, which will also include

  • Susan Hughes, Project Manager Archaeology, Toronto Heritage Preservation Services
  • Michael McClelland, principal, ERA Architects
  • Tatum Taylor, heritage planner/writer, ERA Architects
  • and our founder, Dr. Ron Williamson

The discussion will take place in Beeton Hall, in the Toronto Reference Library. We hope to see you there!
